In recognition of achieving Maturity Level 2 of the Enhanced Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) in two (2) Human Resource Systems, namely Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP) and Performance Management (PM), the Civil Service Commission, through its Provincial Office, awarded the Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU) with the Certificate of Accreditation. PRIME-HRM assesses four facets of HR management: Rewards and Recognition (R&R); Learning and Development (L&D); Performance Management (PM); and Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP). The program’s goal is to strengthen government organizations’ human resource management capabilities, processes, and practices in order to achieve HR excellence.
After getting the abovementioned certificate on January 5, 2023 at Almont Beach and Resort, Surigao City through its University President, Dr. Gregorio Z. Gamboa, Jr., SNSU is off to a good start in 2023. The certificate was given to SNSU by Dir. Alan Besario, Field Office Director of the Civil Service Commission, Surigao del Norte. Dr. Gregorio Z. Gamboa Jr. stressed in his statement that the award was made possible by the coordinated efforts of all SNSU faculty and staff members and that the university will continue to work harder to offer top-notch services to its clients.
On the same day, a Seminar on Sexual Harassment and Orientation on Committee on Decorum and Investigation was conducted. The Committee on Decorum and Investigation’s goals and duties were explained by Attorney Michelle M. Evangelio, Attorney III, CSC Surigao Del Norte. She also stressed the crucial details of the many types of sexual harassment and how it is committed by public employees.
Selected administrative staff and faculty members from several SNSU campuses took part in the activity.
