The College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) of Surigao del Norte State University – Surigao City offers 3 programs namely; Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS).

To provide relevant, quality and sustainable instruction, research and extension programs and services to produce responsible and globally competitive individuals in the fields of engineering and information technology.

OBE Framework

The College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) of Surigao del Norte State University, established under Republic Act No. 11010 and guided by relevant CHED Memorandum Orders for BSCS, BSIT, and BSIS, is under the leadership of the Dean of CCIS. The Dean ensures that all academic programs are designed and implemented within an Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) framework fostering learner-centered instruction, innovative research, and industry-aligned practices. Through this leadership, the CCIS is committed to producing graduates who possess the competencies, values, and professional skills necessary to contribute effectively to national development and global competitiveness in the field of computing and information sciences.

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission into the BSCS, BSIT, or BSIS programs, applicants must have achieved an overall average grade of at least 85%. This requirement is in place to ensure that students are academically prepared for the challenges of the program and are capable of succeeding in advanced studies in computing and information technology.

  • Form 138 (Original Copy of uncancelled 4th year high school card)
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • NSO Authenticated Birth Cerfificate
  • Health Examination Result certified by a government physician
  • 2 pieces recent 1 X 1 picture
  • Original copy NCAE Result

Transferees

  • Certificate of Transfer Credentials (CTC) or Honorable Dismissal (HD)
  • Informative copy of Transcript of Records (TOR) for Evaluation purposes
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate
  • Health Examination Result certified by a government physician
