CAS visits its community partner for “kumustahan” and donates active wears for youth

On July 6, 2021, the College of Arts and Sciences conducted a short extension program to the Barangay Taft, a CAS partner-beneficiary. The event was conducted in the Barangay Hall with the presence of Barangay Captain Pablo A. Bonono, Dr. Annabelle N. Diaz (Program Chair, AB-EL), Dr. Michelle T. Panganduyon (OIC, BS-Math), Mr. Jerry T. Cuadrado (Program Chair, BS-ES) and Ms. Princes Grace A. Retita (CAS Extension Coordinator). The college donated 106 jogging pants and 224 long sleeves, which can be used for physical activities of youth.

As part of the “kumustahan”, there was a discussion with the Barangay Captain on evaluation and replanning of extension activities conducted in the past. The CAS Extension Coordinator asked about their feedback of the previous extension activity on Training on WHO-standard Hand-Sanitizer-Making Process last July 27-29, 2020 and of the Solid Waste Information and Public Education (SWIPE) Project on November 10, 2020. The Barangay Captain was quick to answer about how relevant and thankful they were about it and still looking forward for follow up activities that will help their community especially in this pandemic times. Suggestions for improvements were given by the barangay officials, and were well taken note for consideration in the replanning of the CAS extension activities.
