Seventy-one graduating students of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) from Malimono campus attended the Pre-service Teachers’ Culmination Program 2022 at Balite National High School (BNHS) on June 7, 2022. The said event marked the end of their internship. This activity was attended by the CTE faculty of the Malimono campus, who served as their cooperating teachers for their in-campus internship, and the BNHS faculty.

The event was organized by the students to express their gratitude and appreciation to their cooperating teachers, who guided them and showed them the teacher’s life. This event enabled them to showcase their talents, which could be handy when they enter the profession. BNHS students also enjoyed performing for the guests.

Dr. Francis Mervin L. Agdana, the Program Chair of Teacher Education, expressed her deep gratitude towards the management and faculty of BNHS. This internship is vital for the preparation of the education students. SSCT Malimono Teacher Education program has Memorandum of Agreement with a number of schools within the municipalities of San Francisco and Malimono, Surigao del Norte. However, due to CoViD-19, only BNHS is allowed to conduct an in-person or face-to-face classes.

The pre-service teachers donated a portable sound system to BNHS, which was received by Mr. Alberto M. Orias, Jr., the school principal, as a token of their appreciation.

The event ended with joy and excitement for the things to come.
