Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU) -Mainit’s Pre-employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS) and Career Coaching (CC) for graduating students took off face to face at SNSU-Mainit Campus Library last May 31, 2023.

Kicked off with formalities and welcome address of Mrs. Romana M. Maglinte, and with 3 resource speakers, Dr. Adonis Cuevas, HRMO-Tubod, started the 1st talk of the seminar with the topic about the preparations, a first time job seeker must apply and observe, with few tips and learning experiences shared. At the end of his presentation, a certificate of commendation was given to Dr. Cuevas. At around 11 o’clock in the morning, Ms. Yvonne M. Caaya, LEO III-Surigao del Norte gave an over view of the Labor Standards of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) together with some trivia and experiences as example. After the discussion and Open Forum, Certificate of commendation was also given to Ms. Caaya, before lunch break was called-out.

In the afternoon, the 3rd speaker who was also coming from the DOLE Surigao del Norte, shared to the audience the importance and tips on how to build a good career by abiding work ethics. When the 3rd topic ended, Ms. Caaya, took over the floor once more as she reported the past and current job and employment trends of the region, hoping to make the students see how services and goods influenced the Economy of the Region. After the report, a certificate of commendation was awarded to the 3rd resource speaker.

Hosted by Ms. Chezza Jane Villamon and Ms. Chariz Manatad, the event ended with the Placement Time of Ms. Joanna P. Feril, Placement Coordinator, and closing remarks of the SAO Coordinator, Mr. Renerio Duallo Jr.
