Headed by the University President, Dr. Gregorio Z. Gamboa Jr., the Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU) conducted the Cascading of 2023-2028 Strategic Plan and Crafting of the 2023 OPCR and IPCR on January 30-February 1, 2023, at the San Lorenzo Pastoral Center, Ampayon, Butuan City. The event was attended by the top management of the university – including vice presidents, campus directors, deans, directors of research, innovation, and extension, planning officers from several campuses, and office heads.

Its major goal of the aforementioned activity is to cascade the strategic plan of the university and to craft an improved operational plan for three separate key result areas (KRA) – namely academics, research, innovation, and extension, and administration.

The first agenda of the day was the presentation of the operational plans by the three distinguished Vice Presidents – KRA 1 – Academics, which was presented by the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Emmylou A. Borja; for KRA 2 – Research, Innovation and Extension (RIE) by the Vice-President for RIE, Dr. Mauricio S. Adlaon; and KRA 3 – Administration, which was given by the Vice-President for Administration, Dr. Rowena A. Plando. Following the presentation, was the cascading workshop where the campus directors, deans, and other head of offices integrated the operational plans presented by the three vice presidents into their OPCR. The crafted OPCR was subject to a rigorous review by the participants.

Meanwhile, the creation of the IPCR began in the afternoon of the second day of the activity and continued in the morning of the third day. The university president, Dr. Gamboa, emphasized in his message that he wants everything done since it is for the good benefit of the university. Thus, the aim established for the activity was successfully achieved by the participants. Kudos to the University President and its leaders for a job well done!
