The Physical Fitness & Health Check-up Program held on November 19, 2024, was spearheaded by Miss Marijul Jovero and brought together faculty members and selected BPED students from the University in a collaborative effort to promote student wellness. The program featured the expertise of SNSU Nurse Miss Annielou Betito, who conducted comprehensive health assessments for daycare learners.
As part of the check-up, BMI measurements were taken to evaluate whether each child was within a healthy weight range for their age and height. Vision and hearing checks were also performed to detect any potential sensory issues that could affect their development. Additionally, weight and height evaluations provided insights into the children’s growth patterns and overall physical condition.
The initiative underscored the commitment of the University to ensuring the well-being of young learners by combining health education and preventive care. The active participation of students, faculty, and health professionals demonstrated the importance of fostering healthy habits from an early age, reinforcing the institution’s role in supporting holistic child development.
