College of Teacher Education (CTE) visits LGU San Francisco, Balite NHS, and the Mamanwa community in Brgy. Jubgan

On August 18, 2020, four CTE faculty, namely Dr. Joewaren Sulima, Overall CTE Research Coordinator, Dr. Lucille Tanguihan, BSED Program Research Coordinator, Mr. Raymon Española, Overall CTE Extension Coordinator, and Mr. Matt Sinaca, BEED Program Extension Coordinator, visit three partner organizations that will be instrumental to the conduct of the planned community extension service project for the Mamanwa learners, their parents and teachers.

The three organizations are the local government unit of San Francisco, headed by Mayor Val Pinat, Balite National High School, headed by School Principal Alberto Orias, Jr., and the Mamanwa Community in Brgy. Jubgan, headed by Datu Dominador Rabuya.

The CTE of Surigao State College of Technology, Surigao City, has been committed to empowering the lives of indigenous Mamanwa people in Brgy. Jubgan. For this year, their focus will be on improving the academic engagement of Mamanwa students attending Balite NHS.
