SNSU Awarded PaNata Ko sa Bayan 2022 by DSWD Caraga

Surigao del Norte State University was conferred the 2022 PaNata “Salamat Po” Award by the Department of Social Welfare and Development in commendation of the university’s unrelenting support of the latter’s delivery of social protection services and achievement goals. It was the only higher education institution in Caraga region to have received the accolade.

The award was received by Dr. Ronita E. Talingting, City Campus Director, at a ceremony held in Almont Hotel Inland Resort, Butuan City on May 9, 2023 as part of the DSWD’s 72nd Anniversary Celebration with the theme DSWD@72: Kaagapay sa Pagbangon, Katuwang sa Bawat Hamon.

2022 PaNata Ko sa Bayan “Salamat Po” Award given to Surigao Del Norte State University in recognition of its support to DSWD’s programs. SNSU is the lone awardee among the HEI’s in Caraga region.

DSWD Usec. Rowena Niña Obron Taduran, Asec. Arnel Buison Garcia, RD Mari-Flor A. Dollaga-Libang graced the event which was attended by the Department’s partners and stakeholders from Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), media, academe, and volunteers who also received other PaNata Awards: Gawad sa Makabagong Teknolohiyang Panlipunan, Gapas Awards, Gawad Listahan, Gawad Serbisyo, Gawad Ulat.

The Pagkilala sa Natatanging Kontribusyon sa Bayan (PaNata Ko sa Bayan) Awards acknowledges the efforts of the individuals, groups, and organizations whose panata or vow is to share their resources, time, and selves in providing for a better opportunity for disadvantaged sectors and for inclusive growth.

SNSU president Dr. Gregorio Z. Gamboa Jr., on behalf of SNSU community, expressed his gratitude to DSWD for the recognition and assured  unwavering  assistance to the Department in realizing its mandate for a better society.
