With a total of 122 graduates, the 52nd Commencement Exercises of the SNSU’s Graduate School was held on July 19, 2022, 1pm at the Grand Convention Hall of the Phil.Gateway Hotel. Prior to the commencement exercises, the baccalaureate mass was held in the same venue officiated by Rev.Fr. Bonifacio T. Aguilo,Jr.,DCS, himself an alumnus of the University. Present during the graduation were SNSU President Dr. Gregorio Z. Gamboa ,Jr., CARAGA CHED Regional Director Dr. George M. Colorado, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Emmylou A. Borja, VP for Research and Extension Dr. Mauricio S. Adlaon, City Campus Director Dr. Ronita E. Talingting,SNSAT/SSCT Alumni Association Inc. Roberto C. Parada, Deans, Program Chairs, and some Graduate School Faculty.
The graduates consisted of 7 PhD in Technology Management , 52 Master or Arts in Education major in English, 22 MAED-Filipino, 17 MAED-General Science, and 4 Master in Mathematics Education. Meanwhile, the Master of Arts in Industrial Education had 18 graduates in total with 1 MIE Architectural Drafting, 1 MIE Electronics Technology, 11 MIE-Food Technology, 4 MIE Industrial Arts, and 1 MIE Mechanical Technology. The Master in Information Technology or MIT had 6 graduates.
In the ceremony, the best Dissertation Award was given to Nap Nichole Greg S. Salera for his study on the ” Development and Implementation of School Based Document Tracking System For DepEd Tandag City Division” under the advisorship of Dr.Rolan A. Sulima. The Best Thesis Award in the meantime went to William L. Aranas, Jr. (MAED English) for his study on the Utilization of Digital Media in Assessing Students’ English Competencies for Online Classes with Dr. Alicia Z. Maghuyop as adviser.
Director Colorado, who was the Commencement Speaker, called on the graduates to live as models of society and told them that the factors of success are morality, honor, and integrity.
