During the Board of Management (BOM) Meeting held at the SNSU Boardroom on August 19, 2025, Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU) formally announced the appointment of its new academic leaders.

Dr. Virnille C. Francisco was named Dean of the College of Computing and Information Sciences, while Engr. Catherine Verallo was appointed as Dean of the College of Engineering.

The meeting also served as an opportunity to pay tribute to the outgoing Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT), Engr. Robert Bacarro. University President Dr. Rowena A. Plando presented him with a plaque of recognition in gratitude for his dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the university.
